3R develops programmes to recycle or responsibly dispose of used products and packaging. From businesses with a specific waste issue to industry-wide projects looking at the full product life cycle.

The deal:

3R has just launched ChemCollect, a collection and disposal service for unwanted chemicals and other hazardous items used in industry, agriculture and households. For every tonne of chemicals handled by ChemCollect, the company is donating $200 to a Million Metres project.

The company:

Apex Insurance has been helping New Zealanders protect their business and personal assets since 1987. It is the world’s first internationally accredited carboNZero certified insurance broker.

The deal:

Protecting your business with Apex Insurance can also help protect New Zealand’s waterways. Apex will donate 20% of income from any new policies from Sustainable Business Network investors to the Million Metres Streams Project.

Apheleia

The company:

Apheleia is a natural and organic skincare company. All products are handcrafted using bioactive plant-based materials, vitamins, and antioxidants.

The deal:

Apheleia is donating $2.50 to Million Metres for every Kawakawa & Manuka Topical CreamHempseed Lotion and Pure Magnesium Oil sold. You can also make your own contribution by purchasing a range of six selected native tree species when you buy any Apheleia product.  

The Body Shop

The company:

The Body Shop International plc is the original, natural and ethical beauty brand, with over 3,000 stores in over 66 countries. The story started in Brighton England, 1976, when founder Dame Anita Roddick began mixing her own products and infusing them with a new idea: that business could be a force for good. Following this vision, for 40 years The Body Shop has been rule breaking, never faking and change making.

The deal:

The company:

Dirty Water Seltzer is a product of the Garage Project – a small brewery based in Aro Valley, Wellington. The Garage Project love to push boundaries, reinterpreting styles and challenging the notions of what good brewed drinks can be. Dirty Water is a Brewed Alcoholic Seltzer with real fruit, light flavour and clean taste.

The deal:

Ecoefficient Solutions

The company:

Ecoefficient Solutions specializes in solar installations for both commercial and residential projects. They are currently the largest solar distributors in Hawkes Bay but also service Tauranga, Gisborne and everywhere else in between. They save their clients thousands on their electricity bills whilst doing their bit for the planet.

The deal:

It is crucial we all pitch in to aid in improving our waterways here in New Zealand. For this reason for every residential sale, Ecoefficient Solutions will donate $10 to Million Metres and for every commercial sale, they will donate $100. This money will go directly to assisting in the planting of native trees around Aotearoa.

Ecotricity

The company:
