The company:

Following this vision, for 40 years The Body Shop has been rule breaking, never faking and change making.

The deal:

The quality of water in New Zealand waterways needs to improve, and the The Body Shop wants its staff and customers throughout the country to have the opportunity to help. For this reason they are donating to Million Metres through products sales.

The Native Loom

The company:

Water is the source of our life and preserving our waterways and marine ecosystem is engraved into our ethos at The Native Loom. We empower artisan and weaver community clusters in India, while producing natural fibre based textile products that support ecological balance and sustainable livelihoods.

The deal:

The Native Loom is donating $1 for every 5 products sold  (Organic Cotton Mesh Bag set and Organic Cotton Tea bags set) to support Million Metres’ projects.

3R

The company:

3R develops programmes to recycle or responsibly dispose of used products and packaging. From businesses with a specific waste issue to industry-wide projects looking at the full product life cycle.

The deal:

3R has just launched ChemCollect, a collection and disposal service for unwanted chemicals and other hazardous items used in industry, agriculture and households. For every tonne of chemicals handled by ChemCollect, the company is donating $200 to a Million Metres project. 

Apex

The company:

Apex Insurance has been helping New Zealanders protect their business and personal assets since 1987. It is the world’s first internationally accredited carboNZero certified insurance broker.

The deal:

Protecting your business with Apex Insurance can also help protect New Zealand’s waterways. Apex will donate 20% of income from any new policies from Sustainable Business Network members to the Million Metres Streams Project.

Exhibit group

The company:

Exhibit Group has over 30 years’ experience servicing the exhibition, events and trade display industries. It builds high quality displays and signage, provide logistics services, display maintenance and storage.

The deal:

If you choose to work with Exhibit Group let them know you found out about them through us. The company will donate 10% of the sale to a Million Metres Project.  

Wilderness

The company:

Wilderness is a motorhome and campervan hire company. Its European designed and built motorhomes are the most advanced rental motorhomes in New Zealand.

The deal:

When hiring a Wilderness motorhome or campervan you can choose to donate to Million Metres on top of your vehicle hire.

JUCY

The company:

JUCY is a car and campervan hire company. It started in 2001 in Auckland, New Zealand with a fleet of just 35 rental cars. Today it has more than 3,800 cars, campas and motorhomes across Australia, New Zealand and the US.

The deal:

JUCY donates to Million Metres through the company’s JUCY Gives initiative. In New Zealand, its customers can donate $1.20 a day on top of their hire to help restore the country’s rivers.

Apheleia

The company:

Apheleia is a natural and organic skincare company. All products are handcrafted using bioactive plant-based materials, vitamins, and antioxidants.

The deal:

Apheleia is donating $2.50 to Million Metres for every Kawakawa & Manuka Topical CreamHempseed Lotion and Pure Magnesium Oil sold. You can also make your own contribution by purchasing a range of six selected native tree species when you buy any Apheleia product.  

SellmyCell

The company:

SellmyCell is a Nelson based mobile phone recycling service that aims to provide added value from old devices and a sustainable, easy means of disposal.

The deal:

SellmyCell will donate $3 to Million Metres for every phone recycled.

Yourdrive

The company:

Yourdrive is New Zealand’s first peer-to-peer car sharing service. Its online platform enables people to rent cars from locals throughout New Zealand. Owners generate income by renting out their cars and making use of their idle assets while renters gain access to a wide range of better value cars for rent in dispersed locations.

The deal:

When booking a vehicle on Yourdrive , renters can add a $2 per day donation for tree planting to reduce their environmental impact. Yourdrive matches all renter donations, dollar for dollar, to double the number of trees planted. Click here to learn more.

The company

Ecotricity is an electricity retailer that supplies carboNZero certified renewable electricity to power Kiwi homes and businesses. It only supports renewable energy; wind, hydro and solar generation to help reduce your carbon emissions and shift away from toxic fossil fuels that’s destroying our planet. The deal:

The Paper People

The company:

The Paper People is an online stationery shop that sells locally designed and printed, FSC certified and recyclable stationery while also spreading awareness about paper and trees. The founders want to support local business, promote recycling of paper and educate people about the environment and what organisations like Million Metres are doing to help.

The deal:

The Paper People is passionate about trees and the important role they play in our environment, including keeping Aotearoa’s waterways clean and healthy. So, for every card sold they will donate 10 cents to Million Metres and the planting of native trees and plants along our rivers and streams.
